Authority is dedicated to help with the housing needs for the City of Hugo and surrounding Choctaw County.
The Authority is governed by a citizen’s commission appointed by Hugo City Council.

MISSION

The mission of Hugo Housing Authority (HHA) is to meet the community’s housing needs by providing decent, safe and affordable housing.  It is the goal to promote self-sufficiency, personal growth and neighborhood revitalization by maximizing resources and maintaining the fiscal accuracy of this agency.  It is HHA’S belief that housing is a basic right and the basis for successful life.  The Housing Authority is committed to serving the community in a manner that demonstrates professionalism, care and consideration. 

Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners for Hugo Housing Authority consists of five members, each appointed by the board and approved by the City Council of Hugo.  Each Commissioner is appointed for a three-year term.  The role of the Board of Commissioners is to set policy and ensure that Hugo Housing Authority and its operations are in compliance with regulations set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Day to day operations of HHA are the responsibility of the Executive Director.  HHA is very fortunate to have experienced Commissioners dedicated to the best interest of families the Housing Authority so proudly serve.
